北京市通报：昌平线撞车事故原因是雪天打滑导致前车信号降级，CP024车紧急制动停车，后车未能有效制动（下坡，且雪天导致列车滑行）造成追尾。
通报未提及CP024列车多处断钩的成因，表示市政府调查组将进一步查清事故原因。
通报说，14日23时许完成人员转运，共有515人送医检查，其中骨折102人，无人员死亡。截至15日6时，423人已离院，25人留观，67人住院治疗。
包括事故区间在内，12月15日昌平线西二旗至朱辛庄段双向全日停运。
